Ya it does tasbe a bit of time that's for sure. First time it hit the limiter I thought I screwed somethin up! The 94 is the first vehicle I have owned with at limiter on it.

I didn't even know our trucks HAD limiters on them. It doesn't matter to me because my truck isn't a hotrod - far from it. But I can see why people want to delete the limiters on their faster vehicles you know?

Just be careful if you do. The truck can go fast but it doesn't have go fast suspension. I don't think you would look so great flat and squishy, right?

I don't think I have been over 80mph in my old trucks... to affraid they will fly apart if I go any faster...LOL...
I dragged my brothers 1984 mustang with t-tops, ram air hood and fully worked 351 cleveland... Radar had me at 168mph as I passed. The camaro lost by at least 4 car lengths...

I'm not sure exactly because my tires show the speedo as 3-4 miles off and the speedo goes to 85. I wanted to pass a load of people on the interstate in between Rockford and Chicago. I bury the needle easily on my truck and it's almost every time I pass people.
I'm guessing 110 because that's what I hear from people who hit the limiter as I did. It's quite a strange way to tell you, you hit the limiter. I hit it thinking I broke something. I'd rather have the BMW way where you can't accelerate till it slows down to 70 rather it sounds like you wheels slipped and slam of the brakes.
How do you remove the limiter?

I've had my '93 F250 to 105-110 MPH, based on the tach I put in. It seemed fairly stable, but I would not have wanted to have to change lanes quickly or do any significant curves. That was only for about 10 miles or so. I once did Joliet, IL to Lafayette, IN in under 2.5 hours in that F250 (normally more like 3.5-4 hours). I had a 90-95 MPH rabbit...
Overall top speed on wheels was 160+ MPH on my '94 Katana 750 (jetted carbs and V&H exhaust). It was always tough to go through that little front shimmy at 140 MPH...
I've grown up quite a bit since those events...it's just craziness.
