Ever used a NP435 with a SBF?

<hr style="color: rgb(209, 209, 225); background-color: rgb(209, 209, 225);" size="1"> I'm going crazy trying to find a bellhousing that will mate a np435 and my 351c; what I gather is that I need a 6-3/4" deep bell which is what the tranny came with but it is for a 390.... Has anyone ever done this before or maybe have a resource that you could point me to for bellhousing depths? The only measurements I can find on bells are all 6-1/4"! Suggestions and general input is appreciated

What I take from that article is "The NP435 will bolt up to your existing bell housing on small block"... If that is true it is great, but do the broncos come with a 6-3/4" bell normally? What I am running into is the car bells are not deep enough, truck bells (cast Iron) should be deeper... the only truck cast # that I can find -D1TA-6394 measures 6-1/4"... Its driving me nuts!! Truck should work but the only truck I can find does not.

You asked in another thread about a bell housing marked D1TA-6394-AA. I gave you the Ford part number and ALL the myriad applications.

This bell housing was used with (among many other applications): 351C w/4 speed in Passenger Cars, 1969/79 F100 302 3/4 speed manual, 1975/79 F150 302 3/4 speed manual.

doing some checkin!

my small block bell housing is bolted up to a np 435 from a 300 6cyl. 1970 ford f-250 4wd is the original truck it came from. Bell housing is a 6"1/4 depth. left a message in cleveland form.

Bill, I appreciate your knowledge! This was not supposed to be about that cast #, I just used that as an example. I was looking for actual experience with the np435 because of all of the contradictory information that I have been finding online in regards to it. I actually went to buy that same bell and was told specifically by the owner that it wont work with the NP435 because of the 6-1/4" depth. From the looks of it Wyoming4x4 confirmed that the depth is not an issue. Thanks fellas!

If it's any help I am running an NP435 in my early bronco ('69) and I'm using the original bellhousing that came with the truck (302 and 3 on the tree)
