Yeah, stealth definitely knows what they are doing with these pumps... No room to bash their stuff. Not sure why the adrenaline was brought up and bashed on AGAIN either.
Adrenalin is an easy target.
Cannot help myself. haha.
I hope the stealth pumps turn out good.
but they need some real world testing first before I would trust them.
While I would love to think a bench would test a pump, I know the only thing its going to test is that it can flow oil.
It just cannot justify real world testing.
The oil qualities, temperatures and other factors from our trucks cannot be easily duplicated on a bench.
If you can find a way to load a pump for 2500+ psi and run it for a couple thousand hours on used oil, I would give an ear to the test.
But just running oil without a big load on clean oil doesn't really prove a lot except the pump can run in perfect conditions with no load.
I don't know Gary though, and I don't know much about any of his stuff cause I've personally never read about it, or seen it to read about it till just recently with the SRP1.
Will be interesting to see how his new pump pans out.
Tayln, what is your point in bashing all the aftermarket HPOP suppliers? Which of these pumps have you personally purchased, installed, and run? Regurgitating stuff you've read on other forums as if it's your own experience helps no one.

To answer your other question, I don't think he has bought, installed, or run any of the aftermarket suppliers pumps.
William, I think you just like to bash Dieselsite really. I've seen you do it on a number of occations where it was never called for. This coming from the outside looking in... Remember, every single pump on the market has had some failures.. Even Joey's pumps, so ease up a bit. HPOP discussions don't have to be a bash thread.. You can inform people without bashing a product..
OP, heres some useful info on the pump your looking at. The SRP1 had 3 failures in the first 100 and the problem has been fixed on Stealth's side apparently. That's not too bad.
I won't add much here, other then the couple of failures that happened with the moded 17's were on used customer supplied pumps. I repaired or replaced them for no charge. That's not very profitable on my side, but I like happy customers.
I have never had a New moded Bosch pump fail. I'm so confident that they won't fail, I actually offer a 2 year warranty on those. Bosch is only 1 year from there factory.
The couple failures I did have with used pumps, IMO was the internal C ring that keeps the slippers on the Swashplate. This has actually happened with stock pumps as well, but it's extremely rare. I have only seen two in all the years I have been in business.
Now you guys know why the T500 was born. That C ring is not used anymore. I updated to a better ring, since I was having the swashplates made anyway.
Thanks to everyone who posted info/opinions here. I believe I have enough info to make a decision.
If a moderator is reading this, I think this thread should be closed now. I got what I was looking for, and it seems like another round of unneccessary bashing is about to take place. Thanks.
Phil, sorry man, I probably got the ball rolling by asking for an exploded pump view on page 1 or 2... Didn't think it would turn into what it did. I'm glad that you got your info. Let us know how it goes and what you decide to get
That is my vid and there were contributing factors to it failing. Gary has been good about getting me another pump and even offered me my money back because of what happened. He is a good guy to deal with and has answered any questions I've had. I believe this failure was not from craftsmanship and I'll leave it at that.

Always good to hear about guys taking care of their products.
