Rains a coming!

Looks like we're in for another mini flood over the next 24 to 36 hours; hope you got your life boats aired up!

It looks like I got off light. Drummonds is kind of funny that way - most severe weather and storms either doesn't make it this far or it won't last long. Something to do with the shape and size of the bluffs about two miles to the west of here from what people say...

Roger; we got between 3-5" last Thursday and about 2-4 today. Got several friends who had pole barns blown over and some of them had house damage (roof) mostly. Hope your doing well; not having to chase bad guys thru rain fill area's. and likewise for other members.

It looks like we're going to get hit in the next hour or so. It's breaking up a little, according to the radar.

They predict 1-2 more inches sometime between Friday night thru Sunday morning again. I hope to get some grass seed down mid next week. This old Rocky Top soil will be pretty soaked by then.

Reminds me of an old WHO song - "Rain On Me"

Love Reign O'er Me

Only love
Can make it rain
The way the beach is kissed by the sea.
Only love
Can make it rain
Like the sweat of lovers'
Laying in the fields.

Love, Reign o'er me.
Love, Reign o'er me, rain on me.

Only love
Can bring the rain
That makes you yearn to the sky.
Only love
Can bring the rain
That falls like tears from on high.

Love Reign O'er me.

On the dry and dusty road
The nights we spend apart alone
I need to get back home to cool cool rain.
The nights are hot and black as ink
I can't sleep and I lay and I think
Oh God, I need a drink of cool cool rain...

What do you expect from an old hotrod greaser?
(Pawzzz the dirt...)

Well, 3 tornadoes and a day without power, finally able to get back on-line. I've been busy doing clean-up adn then finishing up my patio before tomorrow's rain hits. Didn't have too much damage to the estate....just a few branches down. Some people here in Chattanooga STILL don't have power. It was a hectic Monday afternoon/evening. Some pics are posted at www.chattanoogan.co if anyone is interested.

Think I dodged another garage flooding. Still get jumpy when they start warning about flooding.

I stayed indoors today except one ride to the dollar store. Rufuss tore up the bone I got him, but today was a complete washout.

I owed myself a stand down anyhow

Sometimes you just have to get back in touch with yourself:
Who am I?
What do I want to do?
Am I doing as good as I want?

~ all of that and more besides...

A good man will think about himself and where he wants to go

It was an introspective day.

"Dear Lord, am I really like that?"
