Intro and questions.
My dad and I have had a 56 Ford F-100 that we've been slowly building over the last 15 years. She's been through a lot up to this point, but this is time consuming work and the parts aren't exactly cheap.
Some pics.

These are just a few pics. There's more buried somewhere. Like I said, this has been a 15 year project so far.
My question is actually pretty stupid if you consider all the work that was done by my father and me. It's regarding headlights. LOL!!
I'm sick of those giant, old fashioned halogens in there. I can't see anything at night.
Is there a late model car or truck that utilizes the round shape headlamp with a newer bulb set up that I could custom seat into the original 56 grill?? Doesn't need to be HID, just something less archaic.
Thanks in advance. I'm going to go lurk for a bit and see what else this forum has to offer.
First, let me say welcome to the forum! That's a great project, and doing one with your Dad will be an experience you'll cherish the rest of your life.
But now I have to ask, are your headlights adjusted properly? You may think the the big round headlights are "archaic", but those sealed beams, especially in halogen form, will light up the road better than a lot of new cars. They were designed to put the light where it is supposed to be, not just look areodynamic. You should be able to see just fine with properly adjusted lights.
The next question would be about your wiring. If your wiring is in poor condition or not heavy enough to move the poewr efficiently, the lights won't be as bright as they could or should be. Something to consider.

I'm still considering a modern set up even if just for the custom look and unique application. Any recommendations are welcome.
Thanks man. 460ci. cast iron block and Edelbrock aluminum heads. C-6 trans that desperately needs an overdrive unit.
