motor rebuild

I ran across what i believe to be a 99 7.3 long block (ALL the goodies are gone). It does have forged rods....My question is--will all the goodies off my 03 7.3 fit/work?? i am still trying to locate the serial number, i believe it's supposed to be stamped on the driver side of the block by the oil filter/cooler..no number there on the passanger side there is 804111 stamped and 182584802 (which is the casting number i believe)..The motor is going to be overhauled for a swap.....I just want to make sure thet my injectors,HPOP,valve covers, wiring harness will work....

Yes the block is the same.

The older blocks are kind of hard to read the S/N's. Mine is very clear and easy to read, but I've seen other engines that are not so easy. Depends on how the machined surface has fared over the years.

X2. All 7.3's are basically the same. The longblock in my truck was in an OBS (for a minute...). Everything from your engine should bolt right up.

Trivial knowledge - the holes for the (8) bolts on an '08 bed have apparently been in the frame since '99...

Your sig almost describes my build - add forged rods, Mahle pistons, 910 springs, headstuds and its there. I was going for an ultra reliable DD/tow rig thats still plenty of fun to drive. NAILED IT!!!
