Quick answer: No.

EEC-IV is a fuel injection computer. MSD-6A is just an ignition control module. It performs the same function as a Duraspark module.

Isn't the EEC-IV also the same one used on the feedback carb trucks?

I guess the MSD 6a would be the same thing as the TFI module on the side of the distributor, or the DSII module on the fender. Basicly the MSD is a ignition control box not a engine management system like the EEC.

A MSD6a, Mallory HyFire6a, Summit Street and Strip, etc., can replace a DSII module but I don't think they will can replace a TFI module and for sure not the EEC. When switching to a DSII from a TFI system the DSII distributor and an ignition box have to be used but the TFI coil can be retained.
