Okay guys I have had my excursion for about 8 months I LOVE it. But with nursing school, and me having to quite my job in couple month I think I may have to sell it. It not a for sure thing, it is a thought. I will need to pick up a weekend job to make the payment. I did some research with NADA and KBB and suggested retail states it worth over 27K. If I do plan to sell it do you think I could get that much. I have added a few things to it, such as three tv's which makes a total of four since it does have factory dvd player, it has two 12 in sub in the barn doors, changed out whole audio system, two amps at 1200 peak each. I did add tubular running boars, big rigs lights, third brake LED light with reverse lighting, grill guard to match gold molding, tires are in great condition. This truck is pratically new, there are no rips or stains in carpet everything works fine, the only problem I did have was the HPOP went out, changed out water fuel seperator, and a regulator for HPOP, repairs were over 2000 but no problems since then. Parts have a one year or 1200 mile warranty. Oh one more thing it does have a remote starter. This excursion is a 4x4 Diesel, white with tan molding. Two tone interior black and beige, controls on steering wheel, have all receipts with maintance in books. It has 98884.9 miles. Like I said not wanting to sell it right now, but how much do you think I could get for this excursion. I see some with same miles or little more going over just 30k, with less features.
$25k tops, unless you have a really desperate buyer or somebody who hasn't done their homework.
A year ago, I paid $24K for a bone stock 2005 excursion with 50k miles. 4X4, eddie bauer, diesel, with an extended 3yr 36,000 mile premium care warranty. Excellent shape.
Sorry, but IMO your stereo and extra TVs don't really add much value at all. Extras like that are only attractive to a very selective group of buyers. Good luck. I hope excursions hold their value for a long time to come. I hope you get over 30.
I have to agree with Hunter. I usually look for completely stock vehicles and shy away from heavily modified vehicles. YOu never know how good a job someone else did with the installs unless it is your truck. I would think you might do better taking it back to stock and selling off the individual pieces you added on.
I have been looking at diesel Ex prices, and the 05 are very hard to find with under 100K miles. But the ones I saw were typically bringing (as in sold price, not what was asked) between 22-24K. I saw several that were for sale last summer, and are still for sale with 28-32K price tags.
I agree with above, you would probably get around 25K. I've never seen a used one actually sell for over 30K. Like mentioned above, your stereo/tv mods may even detract from the value...it would if I were buying. Good luck, hopefully you can just keep it
30 k is possible, it what the market will bear! Here in mn the 05 eb 6.0 are hard to find. I looked for 9 months before i found a private party with one in mint condition, stored inside, rustproofed, no issues, 59k i paid closer
to 30 than 25 and wife & i couldn't be happier with this truck.
I know of several Excursions that sold in the last few months for $30k+. They had less than 65k miles and were loaded 4x4 Powerstrokes. Some were even private party. But to get that kind of money they need to be mint condition with no problems in their history.
