Engine bucking problem
97 7.3 engine bucked a couple of times.Then service engine soon light came-on.Engine continued to buck for five more miles under acceleration or pulling up a hill.after that ran fine for eighty miles.shut off re-started light went out and ran fine.Once in a while engine will die when taking off from an idle.Please help.

I would still change the CPS to eliminate that possibility.
If you threw a CEL a code will still be stored.
If you are going to ignore it and hope it goes away....I hate to say you will most likely be back soon
