D/S door key

Since i've purchased my truck, it has not had a doorkey. Was wondering it the lock on the tailgate would work in place for the door one, and that then, i can use my existing ign. key. Just cringe everytime i wash her, that water get'n in, and eventually will ruin something.

Ignition, door and tailgate should all be the same key unless someone changed the tumbler in the door ignition or tailgate.

Or do you mean the tumbler on the door is just missing altogether?

nah, didnt change anything, just missing the "tumbler" on driver side door. Dont really need the lock for the tailgate, since if anythings back there, it gets unloaded at night. I'll take a gander at it, see what happens. thanks.
