egr problems
i need help at this but my valve was sticking about a year ago so i took it out for 3 weeks straight and cleaned it and it finally fixed itself and yesterday i was sitting at a redlight and went to go and i lost every bit of my power and poured out black and white smoke so i cut it off and cranked it back up and ideled fine but couldnt hear my turbo through my 7 inch stack..but u could push the pedal and hera the turbo..any ideas...everybody is telling mr the egr cooler is gone

Not sure what you need. Can't recommend any testing without knowing what has been removed. Anyway ....... Sounds like you are definitely going to replace or delete the EGR cooler. If so, rebuild or change out the oil cooler while you are in there.
BTW - most of the time we would like to know:
Year of truck
Any codes
Any mods (other than the stack)
Maintenance history (recent repairs or major work)
Preventative maintenance history (oil and fuel - filters, fluid change interval and type).

i tore the egr cooler and intake off today and tom in gonna weld freeze plugs in both sides of the cooler..a lot of guys are doing that around here and havent had a problem yet..its alot cheaper than buying the delete kit..there has ben no maint. except a #8 injector replace about a year ago..
