So my Service Engine Soon light came on today... but everything seems fine. fluids are great, temps are normal, truck drives normal. It happened immediately after a start where the key was thrown in and truck started without time for "wait to start" light to go out.
I know, I know, I know. God I suck.
So the question is, what can it be? where do I start? it'll be a day or two until I have access to a code reader.
Since you're in Kalifornia, and odds are you have a CA truck, and it started after a quick start with no ill effects, I'm thinking it's a glow plug related code.
The free scan from the parts store might pick up the code, or as mentioned, disconnect both batteries for a bit and let it reset itself.
Ok... so I finally got the codes read.... PO672, PO674, PO676, PO678. All 4 glow plugs on the same side at the same time???? Wouldn't it be a rough start?
