Trailer brake system question

2006 F-250 5.4l V8 XLT super cab 4x4
Question: the truck never came with the trailer brake from the factory and i would like to get the OEM trailer brake system done on my rig, i have the controller for in the cab just need to know the brake booster? on the vin for ford fleet it says its standard. what brake booster would i need?

you don't have to change the booster.

you have to change the master cylinder and get the pickup programmed to know it has the TBC.

I'm in the same boat. After lots of checking, it's just plain easier, cheaper etc to get an aftermarket electric controller and ready made harness that makes the whole thing almost plug and play. Granted, you don't get the factory look but the function and end result is the same,,just cheaper. The factory control unit only does electric brakes also..not hydraulic.
