the door adjar light is always on and the dome light wont shut off untill it runs its coarse and computer or battery saver relay shuts it off. I looked for a door pin or something but didnt see anything. Is there a switch or something inside the door panel. maybe a wire shorted out? Thanks for your help
I've read here a number of times that the door switches, which are in the door latches, can get sticky. Hose them down good with WD-40 and work it in good by opening and closing the door. I know a lot of people keep them going this way.
so if its a failed door adjar switch is it in the door and would the same part fit all doors. now I could try and change the driver side switch and see what happens.
This is what I did waited untill all dome lights went out manually open doors without keypad {keypad triggered dome lights} open driver door NO dome light came on. open other doors dome light comes on. So im thinking i need a driverdoor switch. Is the switch hooked to the little arm that goes into the door. I had the door panel off before but didnt pay attention to the guts of the door thanks for your help guys

Good advice...I had this problem with my '01 Excursion...hosed them down with WD-40 or LPS and switches would free up!

Yep,this has worked for me on a 2002 and a 2004 F-350.WD-40 or a good bath of silicon.
the wd-40 worked great. It turned right off after I oiled the driver door. To trouble shoot. the computer shut off that circute to the bad door.(Forced shutdown) By not turning on the dome light when i opened the door after the forced shutdown I knew it turned that circute off.So it singled itself out. So I guess you can kinda trouble shoot this without a scan gauge.
