Dinghy tow

Situation requires flat towing either a f250 king rancher or chevy 250hd 'denali'. Situation been resolved for years using chevy which 'out of box' can be flat towed without mods. Chevy not the same since 2002,how can I get 250 king to be flat towed? No trailer dolly replies please. Once at destination truck becomes a tow vehicle for everyones's largest toys. Really want the king but dinghy tow requirement waiver not an option . 4x4 and slip rear required. Remco or other specific instructions not voiding warranty needed please so the 2011 diesel chosen can be ford.

You need a 4x4 that has a "Neutral" provision on the T-Case to flat tow out of the box.

Problem is, I don't think you can get the manual shifted transfer case, the 'case that has a neutral provision, in a King Ranch trim level. That high of trim my be the electronic shift on the fly only

So the manufacturer does not allow towing?
I think the option left would be dropping the driveshaft(s) or installing the Remco shaft disconnect mechanism.
I assume you figured out the toad brake system already?

The easiest route is to get a 4x4 truck with a manual transfer case. Ford recommends putting the transfer case in neutral and unlocking the front hubs.

If you have a truck with ESOF, you can still tow it, but you need to install a drive shaft disconnect device on the rear drive shaft. I would also install manual hubs on the front axle, just to be safe.

From the owners manual, under RECREATIONAL TOWING:

4x4 with manual shift transfer case:
• Place the transfer case in N (Neutral).
• Front hub locks are in the FREE position.

4x4 electronic shift transfer case vehicles with automatic
transmissions:
Regarding recreational towing or having your vehicle towed, 4x4 vehicles
with electronic shift on the fly cannot be towed with any wheels on the
ground unless the rear driveshaft is removed and the front hub locks are
in free mode (with the exception of moving it as a disabled vehicle off
the road out of traffic). The hub locks can be set to free mode at any
time by turning them from AUTO to LOCK and back to AUTO at least
two times. Always make sure that both hub locks are set to the same
position.

Unable to get ford mfgr reply on remco impact to warranty of new vehicle, also unable to get speed/distance limits which used to none. Also, so far, no manual xfer case avail with 2011. Use brake buddy w blue ox HD rigging, quick/easy. (love pics, mud trk and prev paint). Now welcome leads to custom interior shops in Md DC area to get 'Denali' interior in par with king ranch and gm 2002 storage/cubbies. Loved king on road test and cramped manuver tests, but nothing beats gm 12x power seat setting ranges. Need magic wand to blend the two brands. Thanks for replies and pics.
