My bracks are acting up. I bleed them 4 times already. I get a full pedal then after i drive it it will bottom out and i have to pull it up with my foot.I like to got hit 2day . I couln't stop at a red light . I have a firewall mounted filler and the master is under the truck. Could it be sucking air from up top ?
It sounds like you have a leak somewhere, or a bad master cylinder. Trace all of your hard lines and pull the wheels to check calipers/cylinders. If you haven't found the leak, I'd replace the master cylinder. You might also want to make sure your "emergency" brakes are up to snuff. If none of that does any good, double up on you insurance and make the horn louder!
LOL Every thing is new carnut. I parked it on my new slab under my shed and there was no sigh of a leak. Traced the lines 2day and they are dry. Monday i will get it up on the leaft and go over the whole system. Sorry bout the spelling teach. I think i remember you saying you were a teacher. RIGHT ?
Are your calipers height above the master cylinder? If so you may need residual valves to prevent bleed back. I have also seen people use the wrong size rod that enters the master cylinder. If the rod is to narrow it can eventually cause a crack and air will enter the master cylinder through the rod hole. I don't know if you can overfill your master cylinder using a upper filler. How do you know when it is filled to the proper height? Is the master cylinder made for Disc/Disc system? It makes a differance. Describe your system. chuck
I just helped a friend with a 32 2 window with the exact same problem, fitted some residual pressure valves and....problem solved. All the so called experts at the brake shops couldnt solve it, but if the master is on the frame 90% of the time that solves the problem. And they are only cheap too........

Thats what i ordered disk to disk its under the truck and i have 2 lb residual valves. firewall fill so i filled it up making sure the lines going to the master and the plastic bottle up top was full. How would i tell if they sent me disk to drum ? I live in fl. and there are too many retired yankees down here for me to be driving with out bracks. LOL LOL This is driving me crazy. HELP
A disc disc system will have 2 reservoirs that are the same size on the master cylinder. Disc/drum has a big and a small.
Have they worked before and just started having trouble?
If they did it sounds like the master cylinder is leaking. If they didn't, it sounds like the master cylinder needs to be bench bled. Both of these are assuming there are no leaks at the calipers and you have the residual valves.
The the adjustment on the rod between the master cylinder and booster may cause a problem like that. This guy should have an answer boosterdeweyexchange.com
