Nav question on 2010 Expy.

Just purchased a 2010 Limited Expy. It has sync but the regular radio. I would like to add the Clarion Nav System to the truck. I can get the Clarion head unit and the amp, buttons for the steering wheel and splitter wire for the antenna for $2000. Has anyone ever done this job?? What r your thoughts ? My friend at the radio shop said to get the new pioneer system its way better and cheaper. But would I then loose the sync option ???

OK New question. I bought a 2011 Factory Radio with nav, Sync. and hard drive. My question is what else will I need to put this in my Expedition it can not be as easy as just plugging it in. I heard that an external amp is required with this head unit and the steering wheel buttons need to be changed. Has anyone done this swap ??? Is this true ???
