Got my truck and started to get the mods done. Icon 4.5 inch lift, Warn 12,000 winch, tool boxes, steps, cab lights. I changed out the stock 17 inch tires/wheels for 20 inch michelins from an F350. They are just under 35 inches. Truck is a gasser--and it LIKES gas. Getting about 9 miles/gallon right now in city.
That's an awesome truck - almost exactly how I was going to go. Did you get the 3.73's or the 4.30's? Also, how's she do on the highway for mpg? I was thinking of ordering a gas supercab std box w/4.30's and putting on 34" mud terrains (no lift), hoping for 12 or so on the highway. Sounds like that may be too optimistic.

You should be able to do 12 on the highway.. I got 3.73 but the guys with the 4.30's seem to be getting similar highway milage. I live in a hilly area & that eats fuel - when I get to the flatlands _ I see an inprovement.
Also I got iron bumpers & toolbox with a lot of tools - so I imagine I've added 1000lbs. to mind - which doesn't help with the milage...
I get 10mpg with a 9'2 V plow and 2500lbs, to start, of salt in back. Hwy with no extra lbs I got 15.5 originally on a 500 mile trip. Love Glacier Mational Park!!!
PS: my stock step bars are corroding badly from one Winter. On my 08', my aftermarket bars from Ziebart weren't quite as bad from a season of salt. I should probably just Line-x them.
The Warn system is very nice. Very easy to install and seems quite stout. I went this way because a full bumper is just so expensive. Tire mounted in back is for my trailers. I've got several trailers and one spare in the truck is easier than moving it back and forth or buying more than one. Thanks for the compliments on the truck. I'd love to go bigger tire, but I'm afraid the mileage would plummet even further!
