Hello people.I have a 1999 f-350 supercab 4x4 xl model with 5.4 gas, auto plain jane model no air, all stock. truck is in nice shape with 170,000 kms.I have water leaking in the cab on the pass. side.It only leaks in when the truck sits for a couple days parked in the rain.It seems to be leaking in somewhere up by the heater fan.I took it into a glass shop and they checked the windshield seal and it was fine.Next we pulled the finned piece out side the truck,I think it's called the cowl where the wiper arms are.Inside there is a rubber piece covering a hole which is a inspection area for the heater I think. We thought it was leaking water thru the cowl and then thru this rubber cover, so we tore it off, put a new piece. Then I put some silicone around the outside edges of the rubber hoping this should fix the leak.It did for awhile but it is now leaking again inside onto the floor mat up behind the glove box just like before. Has anybody else had this problem?I could sure use some help to fix this leak.THANKS in advance!!
Hello Daryl. I had a 99 a few years ago, I never had that problem. From the sounds of the problem you are looking in the right area. My only thought would be around the radio antenna?? Sorry that's all I can come up with.
Do you have cab lights? Mine were leaking, the water ran down inside the A-piller, and filled up the over-head consol. This caused the dash to freak out.
I have a leak in the same area. It doesn't happen often, but yesterday I got in and as soon as I started driving I could hear water sloshing around in something under the glove box area. It sloshed out onto the floor mat until the water emptied from whatever it was sitting in.
