Hello everyone name is Steven im from Wyoming a newbie to the forum aswell as lifting a truck I have a few questions .....Im ready to lift my F-250 just want to do a six inch lift and was wondering which "Brand"(s) are good and which ones to stay away from.Ive been checkin quite a few out and wanted to try Rize but I cant get a hold of them for nothin been tryin for few days.No answered calls no returned emails nada. So my second maybe selection is BDS. But not sure really who to go with what are everyones opinions on who to use and wouldn't mind if you shared pics of your trucks lifted !And kinda filled me in on the do's and dont's.It would be greatly aprriciated. Thanks sorry if this is in the wrong forum .
It all depends what you are going for! I just want a hair more clearance and articulation for the mild offroading I do. I plan on a 3"rough country for the front, (It comes with radius arm drop brackets and a panard/track bar drop bracket) and a f-350 block and maybe an add a leave in the back. If you want to run across the desert at 80mph a high end kit from a company like donahue racing might be the ticket. If you want a good all around kit (a little of everything) try any of the big names (skyjacker Pro Comp RCD Rancho.....etc) and aim for there mid priced products. Either way you do it DO NOT STACK A BLOCK ON TOP OF THE FACTORY BLOCK! That is just DANGEROUS! Show us PICS!!!!
O and I agree about the rough country stuff being cheap, but they offer drop brackets for my needs at a reasonable cost, plus if any of it looks so cheap that I wont trust it, my cousin is a welder/fabricator and I will have him BEEF it up for me. I personally dont like the 2" spacers that dont move anything else, and throw geometry all off.
Hello and welcome,
I have researched and reseached the same question for about the last year. I have come to the conclusion that ICON has the most satisfied and happy customers out of all of the lift companies. So when I have the extra monies, I will put on a 4.5 inch lift from ICON.
does anybody have experance with superlift on these trucks ? ive got a 6" on my old '96f-250 and they've backed there product even years later. anybody have a superlift on the newer fords ?
I talked to Rough Country a few times this week and they seem to know what their doing. I tried contacting BDS and they have never emailed me back.
Right now Im looking to install a lift kit for my 2005 Super Duty. I have looked at Rough Country, Tuff Country, Icon, BDS, Superlift ect. So far Im thinking about Rough Country, Tuff Country or Icon. I will be installing a 4.5" kit on my truck. O ya I do have the dual steering stabilizers from Tuff Country and the kit looks really good, I cant believe how much the brackets weigh, nice and thick.
I just checked Icon Vehicle Dynamics, they have a 4.5" lift and a 7" lift for your 2008.
I think im going to contact them this week about my 2005 Super Duty.
ChopperGunner are you going to install the lift your self?
