Driving to work this morning going 70 on the highway hit the throttle to pass someone and truck just died and hasn't started yet tried everything put my scan tool on it and it comes up with nothing put two new batteries and nothing... its got fuel and is getting fuel tried ether still nothing anyone? Any ideas?
I know 06 had some recalibration issues on engine pcm. Has that ever been done? Also the famous cam sensor recall? Not sure if that affected 06 year. Call the dealer with your VIN # and they can tell you if it needs any recalls or recalibrations. Good luck.
had a CPS go bad, it died on road going 65. Humm Ford - Found on road dead... hahaha, anyways it would start drive a few with feathering the throttle and die again. Dealer said it was the Crankshaft position sensor...
I'm not sure what's going on I finally decided to get a tow and mess with It tomorrow but I will call dealer tomorrow for sure also my father has the same truck and the arc fitting was bad and it was acting totally different than my truck is I really dont know thank god I was smart enough to buy a parts truck... ill let everyone know what I come up with
Mine had starting problems recently, crank over and almost start, or fire up just long enough to make me think it was gonna go then died again. Turned out to be the FICM
