Last night I was trying to do the 10K mod to one of our trucks and I was having some trouble. I know where to insert the resistor but it seems that the 2 leads/legs on the resistor are to short. When I try to plug the pigtail back into the sensor the resistor seems to get in the way and wont clip in. any ideas?
before i put my mod on a switch, i left the "legs" of the resistor long, so then you can "bend" the resistor part away from the clip housing. You just want to barely "hook" the ends of each "leg"
If i did it again, i would use wire taps. Sticking stuff in the connector compromises the integrity of the seal... You can always put liquid elect. tape over the break in wire insulation when ya get a real chip!
