If you have a 1973 Econoline 300 series van,(which the E3 in the vin indicates) the trans could be a C6, but I doubt it, its probably a "truck version" of the C4, which I'm told has an extra set of bands and clutches, and as far as the engine goes the only V8 offered in the mid vans was a 302, I don't think ANY 351 would fit under the engine cover w/o some modifications.

i have found a 73 ford van with the vin of E32GHS4xxxx
would the H be a windsor or cleveland? did they even put cleveland motors in trucks and vans?

The VIN# translates to a E350 van with a
G=302 2v Engine
yeah, everyone says 302w when they talk about what motor is in something.
obviously i was talking about the differance between a 351C and 351w.
sorry you could not understand that.
The reason i believed that it was a 351 motor was due to every vin decoder that i had found showed the H being the engine code.
but i was looking at early torino, mustang, falcon, fairlane vin decoders.
