??gas 6.2 L GAS MILEAGE NOT AVAILABLE
Why has it bee so hard to find accurate gas mileage on the new 6.2L? FORD STATES NOTHING..All other forums the mileage is all over the place for those people that have responded. My lease is ready to end and I dont know if I want a 10 mpg guzzler. Currently have an 08 6.4 Diesel and I just dont want to spend 7800.00 on the 6.7 L

If you're coming out of a Super Duty 6.4, I'm assuming you're looking at another Super Duty but with the 6.2L gas V8. Have you looked at either of these threads?

I went from a 6.4 to the 6.2 gasser. If the differance in diesel and regular remains at .30 per gallon I calculated an almost identical cost per mile, factoring in the higher maintaince costs etc, if I got at least 10mpg while hauling my camper. So far on limited test runs with the camper Im hitting that target. With the 4.3 rear and a 4x4 crewcab I get at least 14mpg on the highway under 65 mph with the truck empty. The milage might go up a bit after the engine breaks in more and I get away from the winterblend gas.

superDuty ---- F150
I will check those threads out thank you..I never owned any truck but a Ford, and I dont pull that much, only a 30 ft trailer(all Aluminum) weight of 2600 # empty and 4600 # full. I really want a super duty, but am cosidering a F150 with the 5.0 since I really ownly pull he trailer 2000 miles / yr, and that way I would get better gas mileage the rest of the time,. Thanks for your input

Thanks Hondafixer...That does not sound bad, for as much as I haul the trailer up north, I used to have a 8 1/2 ft wide 24 ft and now have a 7 ft wide 32 ft which may help, but I was only getting 9 mpg with the 6.4 PSD
towing at 70 mph. So I loose 1.5 mpg when pulling, but 90% of the time I dont I will be getting 18 - 20 mpg...I hope.. Thanks
