I know this thread is a few yrs old, but what I've read is helpful.

Just have a Question to those who can possibly help.

P1747 was the outcome of the scan. Transmission shop worked on it. Light stayed on. No charge b/c they didn't fix the issue. He suggested I get a second opinion.

What he mentioned was that the truck will not run properly as long as the light is on, even with the new parts he installed, b/c if it's the computer it's pretty much telling itself something is wrong. So, does that seem right? I'm taking it to a shop tmrw that specializes in the electrical aspect of vehicles. I'm just worried they don't find an issue.
