Question about Injection Pump
I have a 93 F-250 with a 7.3 that has a Banks turbo. My question is, when I am pulling a hill or heavy load my pyrometer only goes up to around 450 degrees and 14 psi boost. Shouldn't I have higher temps pulling a load? Will increasing the pump pressure help with this. Also, I get almost no smoke ever, even when it starts. Could the timing be off as well?

where is your pyro probe located? and 14 lbs of boost is getting near the danger zone so i would be pretty comfortable right there or near 10psi actually. smoke is unburnt fuel and is bad actually so if your maintaining speed and not ******* to terribly i would be pretty happy with where your at.
it sounds to me like your EGT's are a little low but we will need to know where your probe is located.
