Sled pull camshaft..
Mainly my big concern is I don't want too much that it has a hard time building up the revs after it comes off the line. What would you run? what are some main properties that i should look for that would make one cam of the same duration better than another?
390
bored 30
2291 pistons
4 barrel intake
carb will probaby be stock due to class limitations on mods allowed
heads, stock.
I believe the gears are 355's
The 360 that is in it will almost start out in 2nd low but just doesn't have enough grunt. I'm shooting to make the HP so i don't have to change rear gears

The rules say "rough idle counts as a mod" lol

Looking to build something to stick it to the chevy guys.
Actually this truck is being built for my g/f to pull with so she can stick it to the chev guys.
I'm mainly looking for what to look for that makes it a decent sled puller camshaft. If you want some more build details if that helps you help me send me a PM i really don't want that stuff in the public.
Thanks for the help, I have been into diesel pulling for a few years now, so i'm new to the gas world of pulling.
