400 price?

hey all,

Just wondering what a decent price on a ok running stock 400 is.

What do they usually go for? Is $250 ok? Ive never actually "bought" one before.

400 price?

It all depends on where you are located and how many are available. Most of the people around here want $300-500 for a running engine. The last time I needed one I found a 79 lincon 400 65k picked it up for $100 (The whole car)
So yeah, $250 isn't bad if everything checks out... (no blow by, good oil pressure, etc)

i just bought a 77 f150 today in drivable shape for 500$ . it looks like crap but it runs great.it was behind a barn,one call and it was mine. just look, killer deals are out there.

I got my whole truck for $400. Its got a good '73 351c. I bought it from the second owner who bought it from the first owner in '69.
