Speedo is dead

So is the odometer. This is on a 94' Eddie Bauer. The digital odometer and the speedo are dead and do not work. Any ideas? The rest of the dash lights and gauges work fine except fpr this stuff.

Get a Haynes manual and check the power, switched power, and ground circuits to the PSOM. Have you checked all the fuses thoroughly?

Speedo is dead

Haven't check anything yet, but have a feeling its speed sensor related. The tranny started doing "interesting" things. I'll check things out tomorrow night.

The sensor won't turn the odometer off - can you still see the numbers in the LCD? By "dead", I thought you meant NOTHING worked.

Ended up being a fuse. Why on earth would Ford make it so easy to simply pull a fuse to disable the odometer? That fuse works the dome light, speedo, and odometer, so essentially you could mask the mileage by simply unplugging the fuse.
