Cannot find Tranny Dipstick 1986 F250

Cannot find Tranny Dipstick 1986 F250
Forgive me if this is a simple question, I have a 1986 F250 460 7.5L 4x4 XLT Lariat Automatic.
For the life of me I cannot seam to find the dipstick for the transmission. I've looked everywhere in there, we had just purchased the truck a few days ago and we love it.
The truck did not come with an owners manual and we do not believe in taking vehicles to the shop for things we can do ourselves. Perhaps it is missing or I might just be blind, is there something I'm missing?
