I have noticed on our 2009 F-150 there is an audible "click" (and you can feel it in the steering wheel) in left hand turns at about 1/4 revolution. You can also hear/feel the same thing coming out of right hand turns. It doesn't happen EVERY time, but pretty often. My wife had the service guy drive it when it was in for an oil change, and of course he didn't experience the same thing. I haven't looked into it myself yet, just wondering if anybody has any ideas what it might be or where to start?

was your turn signal on at the time. if your turn signal was on and you turn beyond where the wheel was when you put the signal on it will ratchet to keep the signal on, and when you let the wheel return to the straight position the ratchet catches and releases the turn signal to the off position.
Just wondering if this is what you are feeling. if it doesnt' happen when you don't use the turn signal i'll bet that's what it is.

Mine does it at slow speeds turning the wheel left or right going slow like when you leave a driveway and its a clunk that you can feel in the wheel and sounds and feels like its a nuckle very close to the wheel and does it with or with out turn signals on. Truck does have tilt wheel and is a 2009
I have the same problem...only at slow speed like turning into my driveway or parking spot...not all the time but sometimes with the truck parked you can feel a little play in the wheel...not turning the wheel play but play if you just put a little pressure on the top or bottom of the wheel...
I haven't looked into it yet to see if I can find the problem, but it is getting more frequent..
I dred the thought of taking it into the dealer...
Never had mine fixed but don't seem to notice it anymore but since then I have had wheel bearings and ball joints replaced running 35's and 3.5" lift with 2" wheel spacers now also so if there was a problem I should definitely notice it now
