EXHAUST QUESTION?

I have a 96 F-350 PSD with a stock exhaust, will I notice a big difference between putting a 3" dp and taking the cat out or replacing the entire exhaust from the turbo back with a new 4" exhaust with a 3" dp ?
thanks RB

If that's the first mod you do, you won't see a huge difference yet, but it will enhance anything you do in the future. For example, an intake will work better if you've done the exhaust, etc.

You will notice a bit of a difference between your two options, obviously more throttle response and hp form doing the full 4" strait pipe with the 3" dp but not much. nothing like comparing stock to a 4" strait pipe, if you want to do it quickly do your first option, if you want to do it right and get it done with the first time go with your second option.

Just do a 3" downpipe and 4 inch straight pipe. You can always add a muffler if its too loud for you. You might not see a bunch of horsepower from this mod but your truck will breath better because the factory exhaust is super restrictive. It's a good investment all in all.
