I have a set too, they seem right on to me. The only problem i ever have is when it rains or the road is wet, my egt gauge drops to 0 then shoots back up, could just be something i did but i have no problems with the other ones. I got mine on ebay for under $200 with a painted pilar.
I think you guys just conviced me to buy them. I had been looking at gauge kits and when I came across glow shift I thought the price sounded to good. Thanks for the input.
No matter where you put them, you might want to consider getting a longer boost hose. Mine are under the dash so there was more than enough wire for that, not sure about above the mirror.
I've got 'em in my '02 and my wife has them in her '97 OBS. For the money, they can't be beat. We've each been running them for about a year now with no problems at all. EGT, water temp, boost for me and EGT, trans temp, boost for her. Trans temp and water temp are the same, save for the lettering on the face. The colors being on all the time hasn't bothered me, I'm used to it with the aftermarket radio. The green isn't that far off from Ford Gauge Green either!
does the color of the gauge pod paint match up pretty good to the trucks interior. I have the grey interior and i see that ebay has a gauge and pod set with the pod already grey.
had them for 2 years and they work great. You will need a longer boost hose, and the wiring can be a little tough to get all stuffed behind the pillar but it can be done. I put an inline fuse between the positive battery terminal and the gauges on the constant 12v source line just in case. Also wired a switch in to turn off the constant 12v source when it is parked for long periods of time.
I run them too and they are great. The best way to wire them up is with an add a circuit. It is a circuit that will plug into where you have a constant 12v source in fuse box and a switched 12v source at fuse box. Local auto parts stores have them. There is no need to wire directly to battery. Wiring is very straight forward. Although if you have no experience with wiring, it may be a little tough.

My dad has a grey interior. Got the grey pod and gauges from glowshift and they are almost a perfect match. Even if it was off a tad it should still look good. Grey is a easy color to blend in.
