I have a 02 f150 with the 4.2 and it's all stock except for I put a flowmaster 44 on it and in my opinion it is too quite...almost stock.... I was wondering what is the loudest muffler you can get while keeping everything else and how/where to position it for maximum volume.... My neighbor says he runs purple hornies.... Personally I never heard of them..... Any opinions anybody

I'd check with several companies that make competition headers ( not just truck headers).Years ago, when I was just getting out of racing, there was some testing just beginning on mufflers for competition use. I'd think there would be something available that is louder than what you have, but quieter than open exhaust.
