I think that Ford Motor Company needs to implement a "point system" for the dealership's customer service levels based on customer feedback. You should be able to go online and see the level of service (sales, parts, service) for each dealership. Just like they do with the food industry. If the dealership is less than 90% effective, then Ford Motor Company should a "red flag" on the dealership's service review to provide customers with a warning! That would wake up the dealerships!
I agree with you completely on this type of point system.
if there is any question in the quality of the local dealers service i would make the trip. sure its a longer drive but its a better than arguing with them over something that shouldn't be an argument. we have a local Toyota dealership like that. my father got so fed up with them that he drives 45 minutes away drops his Camry off at the dealer there, rides back to work with a coworker that lives out there. and does it all over again after work just for routine maintenance.
Well I came back from having it done at the far away place. Found out that the wash is not just a wash. They told me its clear coat paint protection that they put on. He told me that it takes roughly 2 to 3 hours to wash it and put on this PROTECTION. He said they normally charge $125.00 to do this. So I guess its not that bad, if they really do it. The paint looks nice when they are done. Looks like it just came off the showroom floor.
I ask him what does the oil ,oil filter, tire rotation, all the checks cost if i had to pay for it. He said $145.00. I said what!!!! he said ya its a diesel. I said no its a gasser V10. He said oh its $49.99 with a $10.00 mail in rebate. WOW what a difference.
