I have a 302 that im gonna put in my truck (My 300 six cylinder head gave out) and well its a auto and i wanna put a stick on it I do know that i willl need a flywheel and pilot berring
but the problem is that my flywheel measures 14.25 and has a 4 and a quarter inch weight on it(its an automatic flywheel). Is that that 50 oz flywheel and if i get another flywheel to put a stick on it should it measure the same and have the exaxt same amount of weight on it. And btw will the clutch any everyithing work from the 300 six
theres a engine number cast on the block oil pan rail. something like
e4te-6019-aa
you need that info. starting in 84 for 5.0 went to 50 oz balance, prior was 28. dont guess about the year, wrong balance in the motor will vibrate your teeth loose, not to mention the engine dont like it either
I finally found it... Its a 84 motor. I have heard that is a HO motor(from friends and family). Did they make a HO motor. And snice its got a 50 oz balance would it be possible to take a 164 tooth 28 oz balanced flywheel and change it to 50
