so was there any sort of interior piece behind the seat on the back of the cab? if there is, anyone have a pic of it? and if they did not have it has anyone made one?
Hey bud when Sleepyfella bought his 79 250 a couple weeks ago it had a deal screwed to the back of the cab behind the seat. It was a series of pockets to store stuff. And it matched the interior color perfectly so it might have been stock. It was made out of almost a fake leather material. Ill have to snap a pic of it next time im at his house. He yarded it out to throw a shallow sub box back there. Haha if you drive on down here to the wet side of oregon we might even show it to ya lol!
haha, i thought most of oregon was the wet side lol. thanks for the info and a pic would be cool! when i was rippin my interior out it looked like there might of been somthing back there but just cannot find anything on it and since i am redoing my whole interior i want it stock as possible!

Haha this is true...
Yeah it would be pretty simple to make. Then your banana-mobile would really be rollin in style!
A buddy of mine had a '79 that was loaded, its been a long time ago but I recall something like that behind his seat. He was a policemen and kept guns , ammo and whatnot in it and it looked stock.

I have one of those in my truck. It came out of a 78 that I bought for parts. At first I thought it was aftermarket but later on I found out it was a Ford piece.
lol, i know you're just pullin my leg, well i will have to write up the details on the lift but other than grinding down the eyes on the leaf springs where bolt goes threw so they could fit in the hangers the only problem i have run into is u-bolts,and regular lift issues when u jack something that high i.e (break lines, drivelines, steering components,ect..

if you get time would u snap a pic of it?any visual representation would help alot! thanks guys!
i wanted to post some more pics of my progress on my dent!
this is why i think the was something behind the seat, what ever it was it was held on by adhesieve and it has some kind of flakey plastic or paper type substance that is a pain to get off
That sucker is in the air! Nice truck, love the tutone color scheme and it looks like a really good job done on the lift. Where did that truck spends its days? Floorpans and everything look in really good shape, no rust that can be seen.
Thanks!, the truck has no rust really i traded a 2wd 70 chevy with a 396 to a guy in roseburg oregon for it. he said he got it and a 79 4x4 f-250 from a lady aroud there off a farm (her husband died and she had no use for the trucks) and put the 74 body on the 79 frame. he did a good job and i was happy with the trade.
here is a pic of the truck how i got it
a bit different lol
since i got the truck i lifted it with a 10 inch superlift kit for a 2000 v-10 f250 and a 3 inch body lift even though the springs are big it didnt lift it as much as i thought. Since the lift used 3 inchs of the lift from new hangers in the front and blocks in the rear. I did not want to fab up the new hangers and did not want blocks in the rear so just used the springs.
This summer it will be on the road and i will be on cloud nine haha
