Project Resurrect250 build thread.

I bought this truck when i lived in alberta canada, it had 370000 kms on it and it ran perfect! it was in really good shape for that many k minus a few rust spots over the back fenders. this truck was my first diesel, and i recently moved away from home, so i was on my own and money was tight. drove the truck for a month then it started leaking oil alot from somewhere unknown, it would only do it sometimes and it scared me. i dident want to be stranded with no vehical and a money pit to fix it on my own, plus the syncros were out abit.. like i said, i dident know as much about these trucks as i do now. that said, when i got a raise i decided to get something more reliable and i stumbled across my 2003 Single cab 250 in the buy sell. it was a really good price so i had to have it! took out a bank loan and the old 250 sat in the parking lot at my work for about a month when my buddy, who recently moved back home to BC called me up and said he wanted to buy it. so i sold it to him and he flew over and picked it up in the dead of winter. biggest mistake i have ever made!! on his way back to bc he forgot to latch the hood and it flew up on him.. bent it nearly in half. took it 4x4in bashed in the front bumper, dented the roof above the drivers side apillar, just really beat it hard. all with no insurance on the turck. the 4x4 shifter broke off the tranny so he couldent 4x anymore so he parked it in his parents front yard and left it to rot. i came home took one look at it and i almost cried! i kick myself everyday for selling that truck now that i know what it woulda taken to fix its little problems.. so i waited till his parents made him get rid of it and i bought it off him for 300$ i sold it to him for 3500$ he drove it for 2 months and let it sit for 3. so took it home and the madness began

The box on my truck was rusted out pretty bad so i tore it off and took it to the junkers.

Bought 2 parts trucks. a 93 f150 for the body parts, and a 89 f350 for the D60.

so i got started on the frame, grinding the entire thing down and spraying it with rubberized undercoat.

after that i got started on the frontend!!! so i ripped the old TTB out and got started.

LOWRIDER!!

Then i started rippin apart the 89. after 4 hours
I got the D60 out with the bushings intact!!
ooops.....

rebuilt it hub to hub and threw it under there.

with that said and done i started on the body. now i have to replace the front fenders but it seems like a big job so im going to wait till i can afford to paint it to swap them out with new ones from LMC truck or something... so i put a new hood on it and started searching for a box. after 3 or 4 month i finnaly found one i liked. rust free off of a 90 f250 for 200$!!!! a few dents and dings but what ev its not a trailer queen
, didnt have a gate but the red f350 that i got the axle from had a mint one to my surprise.. and i took the front bumper off my 92 f150 donor, i want a chrome one with the front holes but its hard to find a decent one..
now the engine bay was already pretty mint but cleaned it up allitle bit and installed a 6637 intake with a brushed stainless elbow. had to change 4 glow plugs, CPS, and the little spring in the FPR was broken in half and it had only 20 psi at an idle so i shimmed it up.

i cut out the old "salmon" shapped DP out and installed a 3" bullydog DP and made a custom stack exhaust. i got the old 5" turn out tip from an old wrecked kenworth for a box of doughnuts so i welded a 4" to 5" reducer and painted it flat black.. i wanted a miter cut but there hard to find and expensive but this will do for now...

so thats about it for now, im going to get the stock mags sandblasted and powdercoated black, im either going to replace the 5spd or rebuild it idk yet.. but more to come!!

wow thats one he!! of a build man. some paint, trim and badges and that thing will cherry. you gunna keep the paint stock or something different? keep up the good work man.
