Those of you that have put in seats from something other than a Ford, how did you get them in? Did you just use spacers of some sort to make everything level then drill new holes in the floor, or fab up some sort of adapter up? I would like to remove the sofa-bench and put in 2 buckets in.
If you look into a 94-97 F250-350 or 94-96 f150 they have a 40/20/40 seat. if you like you can remove the center(40) and put a console in its place. They would be a direct bolt in.
thanks ct - Thats a good start for me. I was given the 40-20-40 seats out of an 02 dodge. I like them bc they have the folding center an built in seat belts. rather than junk them, I would love to get them in the ford

I think it was oddshot who had offered to me some of the factory bench mounting brackets
if I wanted 'em, I never needed 'em so he might still have 'em and be willing to give 'em to
ya.
Well, wait... first you're wanting to install buckets but that changed to a bench from a
later-model Dodge? And you already have a bench, correct? You could maybe just pull the
brackets off your existing bench and put 'em on the Dodge's, no? Or are you thinking along
what Brad had mentioned, eliminating the center portion?
I spent a long time pondering to myself how to do this swap, don't feel bad if it takes you a
while.
Its a 40/20/40 bench, but the way its designed the driver and pass seats mount independently and the center is then suspended in the middle. I would like to keep the center bc it can give me both an armrest when Im alone, and a place for the dog to sit when my wife is in the truck with me.
There is also a restoration / custom shop down the road. I might swing by one afternoon when it warms up and see what they think as well.
