rust removal

I'd heard about a process called electrolytic rust removal and even found a nice step by step about it, was just wondering if anyone here has done this before and if so, how were the results? here's the link to the step by step:

A buddy and I tried about 14 years ago or so and got great results. We tried it on large sections of frame at a time. I'll have get ahold of him to figure out exactly how we did it....I remember using sponges to hold the electrolyte between the frame and a second metal plate, but my memory on it is a bit hazy. At any rate, it works well.

Personally I'd do it this way (and I did). Pull out all your interior, your trim pieces floor mat, pedals door panels dash etc etc. Then vaccumn your bare truck floor real good and then go to it with a wire brush. One you get most of the rust down hit it with a rust to primer convertor and then hit it with some paint. After this step I am going to rhinoline my floors and use home depot pipe insulation as a floor mat. FWIW I had a rusted out (not enough to be good and too much to just weld in a metal piece). I also have rust on the bottom of my hood I am gonna pull the hood this week or next and then wire brush/sand it.
