Hi all, I'm new here and lookin for some info!
Can anyone tell me what the original motor in the 1984 3/4 ton diesel was, and what was its horsepower?? Also anyone that has owned one, how was your experience with it?.....good or bad? Basically anything you could tell me about the truck would be appreciated!
Thanks
the diesel would be the 6.9L with no turbo. is it auto or manual? 2wd/4wd?
i have an 84 f-250 with the 351w engine c-6 auto tranny with b&m shift kit, 2wd. i had 4000LBs in the bed and it sat nearly level. i have some water leakage problems into the cab but over all its been a good truck. the gas stations call my name quickly!
Hi 84-250, thanks for your reply, its an 84 3/4 ton,ext cab, longbox, auto, 4X4. I'm looking to buy it, but its about a 7 hr drive from where I live so a buddy checked it out for me(he's an airplane mechanic, so hopefully he knows what he's doin!!!). Its got very, very little rust, good rubber, new tranny, 315,000 kms (143,000miles), and a fairly new canopy as well. My buddy said it fired right up and everything seemed real tight. They're asking $4500cnd($3100 US) so i'm pretty sure I'm gonna take it, was just looking for some input I guess!! What do you think? sound good to you??
Thanks
Chris
