dont have a picture of him, but as kids my friend had a race retired american quarter horse on their farm. "old blue" was 32 years old when he finally died. and he was so sway backed that the last 10 years or so of his life no one rode him.
he was the most gentle horse i have ever seen.

believe it or not, the horse does not feel much pain from that condition.
just slows them down, and causes issues when they try to stand back up when laying down.
kinda sorta like us trying to get up off the floor.
we can do it, but it takes a while with a lot of grunting and groaning.
