You're nailing focus! I'm still using the old school DSRL (Nikon D610). I've heard about those mirrorless camera's and how much easier it is to manually focus with. Something called focus peaking (maybe a Nikon term, I dunno) an in that the subjects turn red when in focus? Something like that? I have to use the digital zoom on a bright star and get it as sharp as I can that way, then once I see surrounding stars start to appear around it, that's when I know I've got it. Took some practice but now I can nail it every time within 30 seconds. If I understand correctly, you guys have it easier now with mirrorless features.
Are you taking multiple shots and stacking them in sequator ( I like 10 sky shots to stack) or is that new camera just that good with a single photo? Processing, using lightroom?
Are you shooting with your crop camera or the wife's full frame?

That was shot using my R7 with the Rokinon 14mm. ISO 3200 at 30 seconds, single shot & just the way it came from the camera not altered at all other than making it smaller for the forum.

After two months in a back brace, followed by a month of not knowing what was going on, I'm back to walking! My first hike in the woods after a quarter of a year! I think I was able to get about half a mile in. Was getting a bit sore and I didn't want to push it. I'm out of back brace, but my muscles are still recovering. Man it felt good to get back in there. That's where I belong. This is where I feel like I'm home. I so can't wait until I can backpack again. Took the camera with me......
