My 2005 F250 CC 4x4 6.0L just had the cold start problem caused by a failed FICM. Diagnosis in the shop also revealed a weak fuel pump putting out 35 psi and a failed fuel pressure regulator. $1440 later, I am on the road again but I was told the FICM is a common problem. Before this, I had an HPOP elbow failure which was also a 2005 common problem. Before that I experienced the common problem of the bedplate oil leak.
I bought this truck new and I only have 66K miles on it. I am now trying to make a decision on whether to keep it or to unload it. My question is, "How many other 2005 common problems are out there that I haven't experienced yet?" Also, how often do these piece of crap FICMs fail?
