lean miss?
have been a lurker here for a while and just figured i shoud post this to get some other input.
ive got a 99 f250 super duty 5.4
havnt owned the truck for too long but basically when i bought it it had a slight tick, and later on it suddenly developed into a very loud miss im guessing...it has p0171 and p0174 codes so its lean on both sides of the motor. it is quite loud and it happens at all speeds above 1000 rpm, of course it idles at 1500 also. from in the cab it almost sounds like an exhaust manifold gasket but under the hood you cant even hear your own thoughts.
