Add Heated Seats

I have a 2011 F350 Super Duty and would like to add heated seats. Has anybody done this? Aftermarket or OEM Ford.

I don't know how I let this get by me, I thought the heated seats were in my Lariat Rapid Heat package but I was so wrong. So I want to check into what it will take to put heated seats in.

I saw this brought up on another forum and the undertaking sounded fairly large, not too mention costly, to add the OEM functionality (harnesses, BCM programming, new seats, blower motor, etc).

It looks as though heatedseatkits.com has worked for some (below), they appear to be OEM for Ford(?) and a ton of other mfg's based on their site info:

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...t-heaters.html

This seems like a much less expensive option.

I checked into doing this in my truck also. Looked at kits on ebay. It looks fairly easy. peel back the seat covering, install carbon pads on seat , wire up switch and replace seat covering.

That's what I've got in mine. Still working with no issues for around 3 years or so now. I won't ever have a truck without heated seats again.

I thought heated seats were standard for Lariat?

One would think so but they're not included unless you order the Lariat Interior Package or the Lariat Ultimate Package.

i've used heated seat kits to put heaters on several cars.

They work great!!

It's on my list to do the truck once I get the seat upholstery worked out.

I don't think we have all these Lariat packages up here, you get the Lariat and it comes with heated seats and cooled as well. Must be regional to the states I guess.

Probably so. My local dealer ordered a couple of the early Job 1 trucks when the 2011s first came out and was kicking himself for not ordering one of the packages that included the heated / cooled seats. Those trucks stayed on the lot for a long time.

No doubt, I love the heated/cooled seats in my dads truck, I need to get a new heat element for my 07 drivers seat.

Aftermarket kits have been getting better and better with making their equipment look like OEM. Nothing like toasty buns on a snowmobile too!!
