Hard to shift when cold
I have a 99 Ranger, and I have noticed that it is hard to shift when the weather is cold. After the truck warms up or the weather warms up, it shifts easier.
Is this normal because of the temperature?

As a general statement, yes. How many miles are on the truck? Have you ever changed the transmission fluid? If not, consider draining the old stuff and put synthetic Mercon ATF in it.
