I was wondering is that bumper from Eddie Bauer edition? I really like the way it looks with the spaces in the front and want it for my 96. Is there any where I can order it or should I hit up some junk yards here in Los Angeles?

 

The bumper with the holes started off for the diesels, in 95 Ford started installing them on the EB's also.
I bought mine form Ford a couple yrs. ago. You can also buy them on ebay.

I'd like to have one, too, but I want a painted one. I've never seen a painted one available for purchase new, or noticed one on a truck for that matter. Surely those diesels didn't ALL have chrome bumpers...

 

The ONLY version of the F-series of that vintage that had color-matched bumpers was the Lightning as I recall. The only Bronco that had them was the 95-96 Sport model. However, the base model bumper was a painted (what Ford called "argent" which was fancy for silver-grey) unit that could easily be repainted to match any color. Alas I doubt any were available with the venting.

 

LMC Truck has both the painted and chrome bumpers with the cut-outs. See here: LMC Truck Parts - Page 20. I'm sure they are available elsewhere also.

 

scour the wrecking yards and Craigslist. my 94 had one when i bought it.

 

Thanks for the tips. I hadn't thought about LMC. I thought I was pretty good at finding things on the internet, but evidently not as good as I thought.

 

You could always get one from the JY, blast it and paint it.

 

I wasn't sure how much luck I might have painting a chrome bumper, though I'd done a little research on it. Always a possibility, I suppose. That bumper's a want-to-have rather than a need-to-have, so I'll keep my eyes open for now.

 

I have a 95 Eddie Bauer with the 3 hole front bumper, the chrome is peeling off on it. I checked with the local CARQUEST auto parts house and it sells for $180 there with the plastic/rubber trim pieces.
