5000th post

Wow FTE, this is my 5000th post here!!!! I'm on probably 10+ different forums and I don't have anywhere close to that on those "other" forums. Why is that? Well partly because I run my mouth so much over here, I'm kinda tired of posting by the time I check the others, BUT there is another reason. The biggest reason is, I have learned mostly everything that I know about these trucks so far from this forum and it's awesome members.

When I first got this truck, I knew how to work on a couple little things on the truck. I was able to change the fuel pump, clutch, and a couple other little things myself, but I didn't really know how this engine worked or what I would do if say the IPR stuck and stalled the truck. I had no clue what the IPR was. When I met Cody(RubberDuck) he informed me of FTE as I had already found a couple other diesel forums that were ZERO help for my PSD. It was then that the REAL learning experience began and I couldn't thank FTE and all of it's members enough!!! Heres to you FTE family!!!!!

Congrats on 5k Travis. I had kind of the same experience. I knew a few things about these trucks, but not much, then a friend told me he was on here a couple times and I should check it out. I haven't left yet, and know a lot more now than ever before, and have a lot stronger truck too. Gotta love fte

Congrats Travis, Its always a pleasure to have you 'run your mouth'! LOL I also used to be on a few other forums but got tired of that 'nose stuck up in the air' attitude. Here, if your not thinking or whatever and say something stupid, your not going to get jumped on. Also, if you want to kid around with someone or inject some humor, that's OK. OH, and our moderators give us a pretty long leash, haha

I can take a joke right with the rest of you guys.

I do have to draw a line at personal attacks and flat out insults.
Also pictures that would be considered adult rated are not what we need to be looking at in here.

You guys do OK.

Most of the people in here, are here almost every day.
You also do your best the help everyone that asks when they ask.

So I think that a little leeway is not a bad thing, it lets us see a bit more about a member than their engine ability and makes this a friendly group.

I think it would be interesting if we could all be in the same place at one time.

Way to go you yappy little pup! Oops, Dave, is that humour or a personal attack? Always a pleasure Travis. You've been plenty of help and entertaining to boot!

Dave, I think once everybody got over their preconceived notion from the keyboard of what someone looks like or acts like it, would be a wild party!! LOL

I have not been in here nearly as long as I have been down in the IDI forum.
A few people in here I typed at down there.

And my opinion is most of the people in either forum would be great people to be around.
Yes, it would be a wild party, but we better have it in the middle of now where, or somehow I think the police will be showing up.

I can just see the shooting range over there, the drag strip over there, the dyno set up to the right of that, and the truck pulls to the right of that.
Somewhere we have to have a fishing pond and the mud boggers probably trying to drive right through the pond.

And the party in the middle is bound to be beyond what words can describe.

I have said this down in the IDI forum, it sure is interesting the collection of people that come together in these forums, with nothing in common other than a diesel engine, most of which are in Ford trucks.

I don't see as many different countries in this forum as I did down there, probably because I have not been here that long.
But down there, country, color, language, religion, gender, profession, age or education all make no difference.
It just blows me away that so many people from such varied backrounds can all come together and get along so well and help each other out as much as I see here on FTE.

Truely remarkable.

The world needs more diesel powered Fords and more keyboards with internet access.

What blows me away is the knowledge that is willingly shared, the offers to ship parts if your stranded and offers to come to where your at to help!!

So, when can we make this happen??? That sounds like the greatest party ever!!! Don't let Cody take his mud truck in the pond, he will get stuck and make it in the worst stuck portion of the 4x4 magazines again. LOL I think with enough notice, this could be done. Maybe I'm crazy.

Oh and thanks guys. Maybe I do need to shut my trap sometimes. Dave, you've been here since 2005 and have 3300 posts.. That means I type wayyy too much. LOL
