2011 driver's head rest

Compared to our 2008 F-150 seats, the angle of the new head rest is way more forward, to the point I am slouching forward when driving. Anyone else think so? I don't see any way of adjusting, except up, down and remove. Anyone tried to take the upholstery apart?

I don't even notice the 2011 head rest. Maybe torso height has a lot to do with it? I'm 6'7", but don't know my torso height.

A little late with the reply...but yes they do as with many new vehicles.
Mine was quite annoying at first, but I tilted the seat back a little and now am used to it. Insurance/whiplash thingy.

5'11 here and have not noticed it as being an issue but I lean my seat back a lot so that could account for it.

Headrests are like that on the 2009's also. I pulled them as high as I could works for me but then I am 5'6". Chris

This is what I did and it worked great! It was very simple to do. I just went to the local hardware store and bought a piece of pipe and bent them.

Hope this helps

For temporary relief, you can just take off the headrest, then reinstall it facing backwards. Takes about 30 seconds. Looks goofy, but it will get you relief until you elect to do the bending thing and have it looking right.
